Sorry to hear about your sciatica. I am a massage therapist and work on the whole body to help my clients relief their sciatic nerve pain. Itโs amazing what massage therapy can do.
You can try to focus on the actual spot at home. I would recommend getting a tennis ๐พ ball standing with your back against a wall, find the spot that hurts (usually mid area of your buttocks) when you find it, slowly lean into the spot/ball/wall, hold it, breatheโฆinhale/exhale, then slowly take the pressure off the spot/ball/wall.. and repeat. Itโs a form of pressure point that helps relief the tight muscle.
You can also try the ball on the bottom of your feet, same slow and gentle process when you find a pressure point on your feet ๐ฆถ oh and check your shoes, are they even or are you placing more weight on one making it wear out faster and throwing you off balance. The way walk, sit, stand, if you pay attention and make a few adjustments that may help too! ๐
