I’m sorry your struggling. Keep pushing forward. Write down your why and tape it to the wall as a reminder. Modify the moves when it’s too much on your inner hips. Try a dance workout video to hit your calorie goal. Use a mirror to make sure your posture is correct for the moves that hurt your lower back. Fold over the mat for extra cushion. Trigger warning***My fitness journey is connected to my mental health journey. There were many days I had suicidal ideations when I spiraled into depression. I was on autopilot and I didn’t believe I could climb back out. Healing from trauma is ugly, it’s hard work and I fought to be a better mom and a better version of myself. Making exercise part of my morning routine was my survival and still is. Exercise is not just about a number on the scale, it’s not about just looking good. It gives me confidence yes, but it’s also about learning to push past the hard. Life gets hard and exercise showed me how to find a way to have mental toughness. I show up for me because now I know I am worth it!
