The hardest part of the LYC challenge?Making sure I had my meals prepped and with me at work every single day. But once I started losing a pound a week, I knew I was on the right track.

I originally thought six pounds in six weeks wouldn’t make a huge difference—but I was wrong. Because it’s not just the number on the scale. It’s the fat lost, the muscle gained, and the confidence I feel every time I put on clothes that now fit better than ever.

This journey reminded me: consistency and discipline wins. Every meal. Every workout. Every choice matters.💪🏼

I’m sorry your struggling. Keep pushing forward. Write down your why and tape it to the wall as a reminder. Modify the moves when it’s too much on your inner hips. Try a dance workout video to hit your calorie goal. Use a mirror to make sure your posture is correct for the moves that hurt your lower back. Fold over the mat for extra cushion. Most moves are modifiable. Don’t give up! Hope this helps! 🙏🏼💪🏼

Fabiana Thank you! I was scared to be so raw but thank you for giving me this safe space. 🙏🏼

Trigger warning***My fitness journey is connected to my mental health journey. There were many days I had suicidal ideations when I spiraled into depression. I was on autopilot and I didn’t believe I could climb back out. Healing from trauma is ugly, it’s hard work and I fought to be a better mom and a better version of myself. Making exercise part of my morning routine was my survival and still is. Exercise is not just about a number on the scale, it’s not about just looking good. It gives me confidence yes, but it’s also about learning to push past the hard. Life gets hard and exercise showed me how to find a way to have mental toughness. I show up for me because now I know I am worth it!
