Accountability check in:

Today is supposed to be a rest day but I worked out because I took my rest day earlier this week. I did Chasity replay from last Thursday again today. Why I chose to torture myself like that two days in a row? I don’t know..

I have transcended space and time. My body died and my spirit has been left questioning my decision making abilities.

Haha, no it was great. I needed it. I was trying to convince myself of a million reasons why I shouldn’t workout and finding shortcuts to get the work in, “I’ll do a ten minute workout and that will be fine because the challenge is only supposed to be three days a week anyway” That’s true but that’s not the commitment I made to myself.

Showed up. Got it done. Feel better mentally and physically.

Bring it on world!

Happy Sunday besties! I went to Marshall’s and found weights to use with my stepper (when it arrives) and two kettlebells. I’m ready for those kettlebell classes lol. Let’s increase our weights and continue to get/stay strong! 💪🏾

Great coaching session tonight Queens! As promised, here are foods that help with they symptoms you might experience during menopause, perimenopause, or post-menopause.  Remember, lean protein (fish, chicken, tofu), healthy fats (omega-3, olive oil, avocados) complex carbs, fiber, and dark green veggies. Use anti-inflammatory spices like tumeric, garlic, cinnamon, paprika, etc as well. See you all next week!

He knows when we see Fabiana it’s time to put in work. Little did he know we were partying today, haha.

The speakers were amazing and to know they are personal friends of Fabiana just solidifies we are in good hands and in a safe space.

I took screenshots of the chat because you Queens are seriously amazing and even though we are miles and miles apart and have never met in person I hope to continue to build/strengthen friendships with you ladies! Thank you, my boys thank you!

Congratulations to our coaches and Fabiana for hitting a milestone of 5 years! We appreciate you guys more than we could ever truly convey via words

Oh, and Nicole we are going to have to get coffee sometime! Workout together!

Today is my Friday because I am off from work and all I can think about is how I can do some active recovery , currently taking 4 classes from QW and weekends active recovery !!! No drinking till April 20 that I can have a nice Easter brunch with my new body !! Claiming it to exsistance …

Accountability check in:

After everything that happened today I would have normally just given up on everything I have been working on this last month and gone to my depression comforts - Supernatural and late night snacking. No bedtime routine and no workout.

Instead I turned on The Becoming 5 year anniversary replay and listened again to Fabiana and the guest speakers. Cleaned our little apt, had a talk with my five year old like janessa suggested and we wrote a list of goals for our week.

Once the boys were asleep I got the workout in. A full hour with Chasity . Felt Great! I saved the workout! Those compound movements with the kettlebell were intense!

I cannot give up on me. It took so much for me to get my boys and I into our own space and I cannot violate that by letting him back. I can’t lean into self doubt and I cannot allow my ex to manipulate situations to his benefit.

I am becoming her…

Thank you for your incredible energy, your uplifting words, and the laughter you brought into our lives. Your affirmations and personal testimonies have inspired ME and your transparency over the screen has made this community feel like home.

I will miss your twerking and silliness that always brightened our days! Meeting you in person is still on my bucket list, and just know, when that day comes, I’m ready to give you the biggest hug ever (and maybe shed a tear or two—be prepared!). You’ll forever be my BESTIE !!

Today was…

I was able to diagnose my food addiction. I eat when I’m anxious or nervous. I have been doing really well with tracking my food and staying within the bounds of the diet but today I was picking little bites from the boys plates as I plated their food, took a couple snack bites from their snack time plate, opened the freezer and grabbed a couple frozen bananas covered in chocolate.. I didn’t realize what I was doing until my son said, “Mom stop eating our food. Those are my snacks” I was like shit I didn’t realize what I was doing…

My ex was coming by to say bye to the boys and get the last of his things and I was so nervous and anxious I just kept shoveling things in my mouth. It’s 100 percent like Jennifer Daniela Zoga said, food to mouth is something we can control when we feel like we don’t have any control over a situation.

Anyway, he came and I made sure to not let him through the threshold and that was that.

Had to go to the store to buy water and my car died again! Sooooo, long story short I carried the boys, baby on my chest and five year old on my back for the two mile walk home. Apparently tow trucks can’t fit more than three people in them and some ubers don’t take car seats and tow truck drivers can’t wait for you to figure out how you’re getting home and if you need the car seat or not because they have a schedule to keep… I’m not mad… I took a breath and just thought ok I been doing HIIT and legs for the last few weeks, let’s go!… I’m not doing a workout today even though I probably should… my back needs a rest. I will skip Sunday rest day and reset everything tomorrow.

I did log everything I ate and shockingly I was only 300 calories over my limit but my carbs were 50 grams over. That’s a killer. I’m hoping that walk carrying 75 pounds between the boys helped with all that.

I diagnosed the issue with the car when we got home and the radiator tube cracked in half. I ordered the parts and did a temporary repair so I’ll see if I can get it started tomorrow and I’ll shop around for an affordable mechanic.

Anyway… keep pushing queens! It’s only like 86 more days until summer and our challenge is like almost over!! We got this!

The picture is my patch job of the cracked radiator tube. Yes, that’s duck tape you see on there and yes it’s rigged mad ghetto but you know what I am saving money by doing this and this will allow me the time I need to find the right price for the job.

Oh, something nice that came of all this- My upstairs neighbors came down to chit chat and ended up getting Isaiah and Forest a little treat for “being good helpers and sticking it out with mommy” The girls upstairs gave me their number and told me to call them anytime we need a ride and even offered to help us in the morning with school. I’m telling you, when you open yourself up to god and positivity the world shifts.

*Sidenote: Electric State is not worth the 2 hrs and 8 minutes. I cut it off halfway. Movie is so bad. If you have minimal free time and plan the things you’re going to watch if you watch don’t do it
