I usually make it full screen on my phone or laptop and it goes into full screen mode on my tv. My phone and computer just connect, no app…might do it via Bluetooth. I have Samsung tv/laptop and Apple phone/laptop.

I screen mirror from my laptop or phone, had issues with casting as well. But screen mirroring works perfectly 🙌🏾
